Elwood Bourgeois Park features playground equipment, ball parks, tennis and basketball courts, restrooms, and a splash pad.

Fishing and picnic pavilions with adjacent beach volleyball courts, comfort station, and handicap wheelchair beach access.

Located next to the Old School house which is now the Waveland Community Center.  This park is suited for children of all ages.  It has 3 slides – one tornado slide, one small slide and a tall metal slide. There are plenty of big kid and baby swings. There is also a Merry Go Round, which is something you rarely find at a playground anymore. After Hurricane Katrina, a gazebo was built in the corner of the park.  There are special tiles in the gazebo that are made from the Old City Hall building that was next door.  If you are looking for something to do one the weekend, a picnic at this park would be a great outing.

Over 5 miles of white sand beaches welcome you.  Located on the Gulf of Mexico, Waveland Beaches have something for everyone.  At the foot of Coleman Avenue, Waveland's downtown area, you’ll find the Veteran’s Memorial Monument, honoring all veterans, and the adjacent Garfield Ladner Memorial Pier, frequented by residents and visitors alike for fishing, walking and enjoying a picnic.  Between these two sites, you'll find ample parking spaces, and the Waveland Lighthouse and comfort station, as well as a handicap accessible, wheelchair access to the waters edge.  Next to the pier beach volleyball courts and picnic tables.

Our museum is housed in a historic building in Waveland that had been used as a school and civic center. It is the only building left standing on our main street after Hurricane Katrina and has been restored to its original structure. We have permanent and temporary exhibitions with interactive displays, oral history and other videos, along with a diverse collection of memorabilia from the entire Gulf Coast. We welcome families from our community, from around the US and international visitors. We hope you stop by!

This is a new park that was built after Hurricane Katrina to suit the neighborhood kids.  It has a bight blue and green color scheme.  It boasts nice benches so parents can sit near by an watch all that is going on.  Wilcox Community Playground also has conveniently located trash cans.  This aids in keeping the park clean with little effort.  This park is great for kids of all ages.  It features a cool rock wall and a tornado slide on a mulch base.
